First register as a user, then you can activate creator mode in your profile. This requires identity verification (KYC): upload an ID document and a selfie with your ID. After successful review by our team, your creator account is unlocked.

Which documents do I need for verification?

Accepted Answer

You need a valid ID card or passport as well as a recent selfie in which you hold the ID clearly visible next to your face. All documents are processed securely and in compliance with the GDPR. You can check your verification status at any time on the verification page.

How do I earn money?

Accepted Answer

You earn money through: subscriptions from your fans (monthly, quarterly or yearly), sales of premium content (pay-per-view posts), tips and tip-menu orders, paid messages (PPV in chat), livestream tickets, VOD sales (recordings of your streams), products in your shop (digital, physical, video greetings) and donations via fundraising goals.

How do payouts work?

Before you can request a payout, you must add your bank details in the dashboard. The account holder must match your verified name – this protects against abuse. Subsequent changes to the account holder require admin approval. You can choose between SEPA transfer, international transfer, express transfer, PayPal and cryptocurrency. Processing usually takes 3–5 business days.

Why must my account holder name match my verified name?

Accepted Answer

This measure protects creators and the platform. Payouts may only be made to accounts in the creator's verified real name. This prevents third parties from receiving unauthorized payouts. If your name has changed legally (e.g. through marriage), you can request a name change, which is reviewed by the admin team.

What fees apply?

MyStans charges commissions on your earnings, which can vary by revenue type (e.g. subscriptions, tips, video greetings, product sales, PPV messages). The exact breakdown (gross, fee, percentage) is logged in your transaction notes and included in the tax authority export.

Where do I see my earnings in detail?

In your creator dashboard you'll find a detailed earnings overview with charts, broken down by revenue type, period and fan. This way you always keep track of your earnings.

How do I create a post?

You can create new posts via the '+' button or the creator dashboard. Each post requires text and/or media (images or video). You can upload up to 10 images in a gallery or a single video. Images are automatically compressed to save storage.

How does premium content (pay-per-view) work?

Accepted Answer

When creating a post, activate the premium option and set a price (from €0.50). Fans see a blurred preview of your content and can unlock it by paying. For videos, you can optionally choose your own thumbnail or an automatic screenshot from the 3rd second instead of the blurred preview.

How do I schedule posts in advance?

When creating a post, you can activate the scheduling function. Choose date and time, and the post will be published automatically at the desired time. You'll find scheduled posts in your content manager.

What is the media library (My Media)?

The media library is your personal media storage. Here you can upload and manage images and videos centrally. The big advantage: you don't have to upload the same files for each fan individually. Directly from chat you can access your media library via the paperclip/folder icon and send saved media to fans. The overview is a 3-column grid; you can use multi-select, bulk delete and sorting and search functions. There is a storage limit per creator set by the platform admin – you can see storage usage at the top as a progress bar.

How does 'My Gallery' (gallery folders) work?

Under 'My Gallery' you organize your gallery into folders. Each folder has a title, a description and contains any number of photos. In the overview, each folder is shown with a preview of 4 images – the design matches the media library look 1:1 (flat grid, square tiles, compact badges). Tap a folder to open it and add, sort, edit or delete photos. The gallery folders are also visible on your public profile.

Which file formats and sizes are supported?

Common image and video formats such as JPG, PNG, GIF, MP4, MOV and WebM are supported. Videos may be up to 3 GB. Images are automatically optimized during upload; the HD setting applies only to photos. Large videos are processed after upload for smooth playback adapted to the viewer's connection.

What is AI content moderation?

MyStans uses an AI-powered moderation system that automatically checks all uploaded media. Erotic content and nudity are allowed. Sexual acts, pornography, violence, hate speech and especially CSAM (depictions of child sexual abuse) are prohibited. Content is classified into three levels: 'Allowed' (immediate release), 'Flagged' (temporarily withheld for admin review) or 'Blocked' (immediate block for serious violations). You'll be notified about the status of your uploads.

What happens if my content is blocked by the AI?

If blocked, you'll receive a notification with the reason. For 'flagged' content, an admin reviews manually and either releases the content or confirms the block. For serious violations (especially CSAM), an immediate block occurs and, where applicable, a report is made to the competent authorities. Repeated violations can lead to account suspension.

How does messaging work?

You can chat directly with your fans who have an active subscription with you. In chat you see each fan's total spend prominently displayed in the header (aggregated from PPV sales, tips and subscriptions) to prioritize high-spending fans. You can also sort the conversation list by total spend.

Who can send me messages as a creator?

Accepted Answer

Only fans with an active subscription with you can send you messages. Strangers without a subscription relationship cannot contact you. You can message all your active subscribers at any time. If you've set up agency members with chat permission, they can also send messages on your behalf.

Can I send multiple images and videos together in chat?

Accepted Answer

Yes. One chat delivery can contain up to 10 files, including no more than 3 videos, with a total size of up to 3 GB. Images and videos can be mixed freely. You can send the whole bundle for free or set one pay-per-view price; the fan then unlocks the complete bundle at once.

Does a large chat upload continue if I leave the chat?

Yes. The upload continues in the background while you use other areas of MyStans. A progress indicator shows its status. Failed uploads can be retried or cancelled. Interrupted large uploads are resumed where possible instead of starting over.

Can I send paid messages?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you can send pay-per-view messages containing individual media or a bundle of images and videos. You set one price for the entire delivery; the fan must pay it to unlock all included media.

What is the broadcast function?

The broadcast function lets you send messages to all subscribers, all fans or specific groups at once. You can also send paid media via broadcasts. The function is available from at least 2 active subscribers.

Can I schedule messages?

Yes, via the 'Scheduled Messages' area in your dashboard you can schedule messages for a later time. These are sent automatically at the desired time.

When you open a chat with a fan, you can view all media sent to this fan so far – including revenue statistics, unlock status and the ability to view media in the full-screen lightbox.

How can I block fans?

You can block fans directly in chat or via their profile. Blocked fans can no longer send you messages. In your dashboard you'll find an overview of all blocked fans under 'Blacklist' with the block source (chat or profile). The block can be lifted at any time.

Can I send voice messages?

Yes! As a creator you can send voice messages (voice mails) in individual chats and via the broadcast function. Tap the microphone icon, record your message (max. 60 seconds), preview it and send or discard it. In broadcast, choose the 'Voice message' type to send a voice mail to all subscribers at once.

How do I send media from the media library in chat?

In chat, tap the paperclip icon and choose 'From media library'. A picker opens with all media from your media library (images, videos, possibly audio). You can filter by type, select one or more media and optionally set a PPV price before sending. This way you don't have to re-upload the same files each time.

How is the 'Sent Media' view in chat structured?

In the chat header you'll find the gallery icon for 'Sent Media'. The view is in media-library design: a flat 3-column grid with square tiles. Use the tabs 'All / Photos / Videos' to filter content. PPV media show a small lock badge bottom left when locked, or a green checkmark when unlocked, each with a price. At the top are compact stat tiles (Unlocked, Locked, Revenue, Open) – ideal to see PPV success per fan at a glance. Tap a tile to open the lightbox with pinch-zoom (images) or player (videos).

Can fans request a refund for my content?

Generally no. Digital content is excluded from refunds after unlocking, as fans expressly waive their right of withdrawal before each purchase in accordance with § 356(5) of the German Civil Code (BGB). The contract is concluded directly between you and the fan – MyStans is only an intermediary.

What happens if a fan reports me for misleading content?

Reports are reviewed by our admin team. Make sure your content descriptions are honest and accurate. For justified complaints, MyStans can take graduated measures: warning, removal of individual content, temporary restrictions or, for serious/repeated violations, a permanent account suspension.

What is a chargeback and how does it affect me?

A chargeback occurs when a fan reverses a payment via their bank or payment provider. In such cases, the amount is deducted from your balance. Repeated chargebacks can lead to a review of your account. To avoid chargebacks, describe your content honestly and deliver what you promise.

Can MyStans grant fans a goodwill refund?

In exceptional cases, after reviewing a justified report, the admin team may credit a fan a goodwill amount. This serves platform satisfaction and is at MyStans' sole discretion. Such goodwill credits are not deducted from your earnings.

How does the shop work?

In the shop you can offer three types of products: digital products (downloads), physical goods with inventory management and video greetings (personalized videos for fans). You set title, description, price and optionally several product images. The first image serves as the cover.

What are video greetings?

Video greetings are personalized video messages that fans can order from you. You provide a sample video so fans can see what a video greeting from you looks like. As a thumbnail you can use either an automatic screenshot from the 3rd second of the video or your own image. When an order comes in, you receive an in-app notification with a deep link. You can record the reply directly in the browser or upload it.

You set the price and activation status for each. Fans see the active tiers on your profile. You can switch between free and paid at any time; existing subscriptions remain on their original terms.

Can fans change their subscription tier?

Fans can switch between monthly and yearly (or vice versa) at any time, provided both tiers are active. When changing tiers, the old subscription is automatically cancelled and the new one is activated.

What happens when a fan cancels their subscription?

Accepted Answer

After a cancellation by the fan, the subscription remains active until the end of the period already paid for (grace period). The fan continues to have full access to your content. Access only ends after the paid period expires. The fan can also revoke the cancellation until then.

How long do free subscriptions last?

Accepted Answer

Free subscriptions are automatically limited to 90 days for fans and do not renew on their own. Fans are notified 7 days before expiry. After expiry, their access to your subscription-only content ends automatically. Fans can renew their free subscription as long as you still offer a free tier at that time.

What happens if I turn off my free tier and only offer paid subscriptions?

Free subscriptions that are already running keep their remaining 90-day term – no fan loses access immediately. New fans, and fans whose free subscription expires afterwards, will only see your paid tiers (monthly/yearly) and must pay to keep access.

What happens when I delete a post?

When you delete a post, it is immediately no longer visible to any subscriber. Individually purchased premium content (pay-per-view) is not affected: it remains permanently in buyers' media collections, as it is stored as a separate copy at purchase.

What happens if I delete my creator account?

If you delete your account (or an administrator initiates the deletion), all your fans' subscriptions are automatically and immediately cancelled. All public content is irrevocably removed: posts, gallery photos, gallery folders, media library entries, broadcast messages and fundraising goals. Shop products are deactivated, ongoing livestreams ended. Media in direct messages is deleted – unless a fan purchased the media (pay-per-view), in which case it remains permanently with the buyer. Your avatar, banner and bio are removed, your profile is hidden from feed, search and explore. Re-registration with the same email address is not possible. Billing data is retained for legal reasons.

What is a temporary deactivation (suspension)?

An administrator can temporarily deactivate (suspend) your account if a violation is suspected. During the suspension, your login is blocked, but all data, content and balance remain. Your content is temporarily hidden from public areas. The suspension can be lifted at any time, after which everything becomes visible again. Subscriptions are not automatically cancelled during a suspension.

VODs (video on demand) are recordings of your ended livestreams. For each VOD you can set a recording URL, generate a thumbnail (automatically from the video or upload your own image), control visibility (public/hidden) and set a price. Public VODs appear on your profile.

Important: referred fans only trigger a one-time flat fee – there is no ongoing commission on a fan's spending. All credits go directly into your wallet and you're informed by in-app notification.

Violations can lead to graduated measures: warning, temporary deactivation (suspension) of your account, blocking of individual content or complete account deletion. With a suspension, your login is temporarily blocked, but your content and data remain. With a deletion, all public content is irrevocably removed. Repeated violations lead to permanent suspension and withholding of outstanding payouts.

Yes. An administrator can temporarily deactivate (suspend) your account or permanently delete it. With a suspension, all data is retained and the measure can be reversed. With a deletion, all your public content (posts, gallery, media library, shop, broadcasts) is irrevocably removed. Purchased media (pay-per-view) remains with the buyers. Billing data is retained according to legal retention periods.
